Staying at gables inn was a real treat. The lobby is so charming, much more excellent in person. I loved the large beds and shower. They offered complimentary water and umbrellas, perfect for the rainy days. Plus, it's really close to the marine mammal center!

Enjoyed our stay, had relaxing 1 day overall. The room was bright and fairly quiet with comfortable bed and a nice view, had a good night's sleep. The position of the hotel was marvellous, up on a hill.
The room was unbelievably hot.

I stayed in a King Room with a balcony. The room was gorgeous with fabulous views, and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom had a clawfoot tub that felt luxurious. It was quiet, and honestly, I loved all the natural light from the big windows. Just wish the shared balcony situation was mentioned upfront. Definitely a cozy retreat!

Great choice for trip. Trendy boutique hotel in a nice area of Sausalito. Pleasant staff members, reasonably large and huge rooms with the outside patio and a lovely decor and a balcony. Stunning location to Bay Area Discovery Museum. Walking distance to main shopping street and a shopping street across the street. A nice restaurant in the property.

Excellent service from concierge. Location-easy walk to shops and restaurants. Decour and attractiveness of room. Gourmet gifts-wine, chocolates, coffees, sparkling water and more. HD TV and internet service. I am sure I would have also loved the wine and cheese before dinner and the breakfast, but our itinerary conflicted with both.
I always like to have a small refrigerator in room, but our room did not have one. However, we really didn't need it.

Excellent location, clean and comfortable room. This is a bed & breakfast, and it has an "at home" feeling. Our room shared the patio with the adjacent room. My wife and I sat out there at night and shared a bottle of wine. It has a partial view of the bay.
Parking area is tight. If you have a big vehicle, it is tough to park.

charming atmosphere, excellent views from balcony, convenient parking options
Rooms could use an upgrade, especially the outdated bathrooms with cramped showers!!! Noise insulation could be improved, as you'll likely be woken up by cleaning staff!!!

The Gables Inn messed up my reservation and refused to take any responsibility for the error because I had booked through Booked.net. One person had to sleep on the floor of the hotel room and the manager refused to speak to me, let alone offer an apology.
